Colorado Hospital Association

Richard Bottner, DHA, PA-C, CPHQ, FACHE is the Vice President of Clinical Excellence at the Colorado Hospital Association. Richard is exceptionally passionate about care delivery in acute care hospitals. He supports the association in clinically oriented work related to behavioral health, workforce, maternal health, and the hospital transformation program. Prior to his role at the hospital association, Rich was on faculty at Dell Medical School in Austin, Texas where he led quality and process improvement around patient safety and substance use disorder.

Cara joined the CHA team in 2015. Prior to CHA, she worked as the marketing manager at Rose Medical Center in Denver, leading the hospital’s advertising, community relations, internal communications, website and media relations. Previously, Cara worked at Schenkein Public Relations leading media and community relations for a variety of clients. She has an MBA from the University of Colorado-Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Wyoming. She enjoys telling the story of the great work of Colorado’s hospitals.

Bridget Garcia is a seasoned government affairs professional with experience working for several associations within Colorado’s business community, most recently with the Colorado Association of REALTORS®. Bridget’s work with business organizations has allowed her to keep her finger on the pulse of current issues including the state’s social and economic drivers. Bridget is a Denver native and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Bridget enjoys tackling new challenges, creating efficiencies, and assisting Colorado’s hospitals and health systems with maximizing impact to serve the needs of their communities.
